Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  1. Journal of Biotechnology Research Center "JoBRC", a periodic peer-reviewed journal, published bi-annually by Biotechnology Research Center- Al-Nahrain University. JBRC is a multidisciplinary journal covering all areas of basic and applied biotechnology science research.
  2. Submission of Manuscripts: The paper has not been published and will not be submitted to any other journal when accepted by Journal of Biotechnology Research Center.
  3. In order to maintain high standard of review, Articles are subjected to highly respected and toughest peer-review before accept for publication.
  4. Complete manuscript copy should be two clear typewritten in A4 paper, (not more than 12 pages including figures and tables). After the manuscript has been accepted for publication, authors are required to supply the final version of the manuscript printed in one column per page, times new roman font). Manuscripts and figures will not be returned to the authors whether the editorial decision is to accept revise or reject.
  5. Title page must contain the following: Title of article, Correct first, middle and family names of all authors and a maximum of two highest academic degrees. Name(s) and address (es) of the institution(s) where the work was carried out. Name(s) and address (es) of the author (including the department) responsible for correspondence and e-mail. The main text: should be divided into; Abstract, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, and References.
  6. Use only standard abbreviations; avoid them in the Title and Abstract. The full term for which an abbreviation stand should precede the first use in the text.
  7. The abstract: not more than 200 words, unstructured, to include background, objective, methods, results and conclusion, in English and Arabic.
  8. References should be in Vancouver style, numbered consecutively in the order in which they appear in the text and listed on a separate sheet in the same order, not alphabetically. Example of correct reference form is given as follows:<br />AL-Dujaily SS, Alwan NS. relationship between antiMullerian ovarian hormone, activin-A, and follistatin hormones levels with pregnancy rate following intrauterine insemination. Iraqi J. Embryos and Infertility Researches. (2013); 3(6):9-14.
  9. Illustrations: All photographs, graphs and diagrams should be referred to as figures and should be numbered consecutively in the text.
  10. Tables should be address above while Figures below, using letters of size 10.
  11. If the paper is abstracted from MSc. or PhD. thesis, it should be mentioned in the footer of the lead page.
  12. Scientific, industrial and economic advertisements are published versus financial wages determined by editorial staff.
